I went on "vacation" w/out my camera. My mom and the boys and I went to visit my uncle and aunt in West Richland for a couple of days. It was a good time and we are really glad we went! My aunt Terry has several beautiful fragrant rose bushes that beat all smells of any roses anywhere. I have never smelled roses more fragrant! Honest! That's not just a promoted statement! She was kind enough to let me come home with a small colorful bunch. I'll post a pic of them in the next couple of days. I wish you could smell them too. In fact, if you want to come over just to smell them, you can!
Anyway, my uncle is in the beginnings of a potential battle with cancer. It is possibly in his lungs as well as his liver. The mass in his liver is inoperable due to it's positioning. We are praying for him and his wife. This may be a rough season for them.
We had a wonderful time. All of us. Well, I guess I can't speak for my aunt and uncle, but Ethen played outside a lot with their dog, Mac, who was so gentle and sweet mannered. I can't tell you how many times Ethen used the bushes as his potty. He loved being outdoors in a big (but fenced) back yard. I am guessing there is a special bond between and boy and his outside potties?! I lost count.
Well, Aunt Terry and Uncle Jim, we love you and we are praying for you both. Thanks for letting us interrupt your schedule and for sharing your time (and everything else) with us. We look forward to our next trip up in a few months! Tell Andy 'he is good boy'!
