Please pray for Max

This is our dog's half-brother. He is sick and our good friends are pretty worried about him. This is one of his puppy pictures after a long walk, he's now 2 years old. He has been to the vet a few times and no real answers have come about. We love you Duck fam. We'll be praying for you all! Posted by Picasa

8/4/06 UPDATE: Turns out to be pancreaitis (sp?). He will be treated with some antibiotics and some nausea meds. Poor guy...speedy recovery to you.

8/5/06 UPDATE: He is doing better today. Last night he was quite playful, and even went to the dog dish to eat. He has only been drinking and eating next to nothing for the last week. He has lost about 15 pounds. We are glad to report his speedy recovery!

8/8/06 UPDATE: Max is doing great. In fact, he is acting like nothing was even wrong. Thanks for the prayers you said for him (and the family)!

Um, Happy anniversary?

Today everytime I looked at the date I thought August 3rd... what's August 3rd? Then I decided it was your anniversary. I don't remember if this is entirely correct, but if it's not, now you have two!

I don't know if this is helpful, but I just took Lucy to the vet. She was very sick. Come to find out, it was salmon poisening. I guess it takes 7-10 days to incubate...Any chance that's what it is? Lucy got it from Salmon eggs used for fishing, but it can come from salmon of any sort. It takes a cycle of tetracycline to cure it. They can die from it. Just thought I'd pass that along in case there is any chance. Say hi to the Duckworths for me!

Thanks for the update Robin. Just to clarify, it wasn't samonilla that Lucy had, it was Salmon Poisoning. From eating salmon. They are actually two different things. I hope everything works out for him!

Oh good! I'm so glad they figured it out. I totally understand the worry of a sick dog. Hope he heals up quickly :)

Well, hooray good vets! I am glad that the little guy is doing better. When you look at his little face in that pic it makes your heart totally melt!
